I LOVE ROBOTS. MARRY ME PLZ <3<3<3

I haven't posted up any art lately - I suppose today's as good a day as any to do that!

...actually, it looks like I haven't drawn much of anything lately. Alas! I haven't been taking many notes in school, and I've been doing boring stuff like studying and researching, rather than drawing. The few things I've been doing have mostly been stuff like THIS, as I've been irritated more than usual lately at my lack of ability to draw anything but faces.

First, I sketched out a pose (you can sort of see the guidelines.) Then I blocked it out. I've never done this before, but I think it may have worked well. I drew over the blocks, but it's easy to clean up the extra stuff in Paint so that worked out okay. Cleaned it up, filled the spaces, added some shading... I-I am probably making this much more boring than it could be.

...and some extra ones. I have problems with adding blood to pictures. For any given picture, I usually have two versions - one with blood splattered all over it and one without any. I... usually post the version without any blood. But I like the version with it best. I don't think it's because I'm insane? It's probably because I think my art is really boring and doesn't have enough detail, and blood is a quick and easy thing to add to a picture. The blood took me almost no time at all, and I like the way it looks so much more than without any blood.

And Mr. Robot with a teddy bear, because I felt kind of bad covering him in blood when he's obviously such a sweet robot. I don't think I've ever drawn a stuffed bear before. It was surprisingly difficult; not half as easy as adding copious amounts of blood =___=

That's all for Mr. Robot! I don't have much more art, which kind of depresses me because I didn't realize I was ignoring drawing so much lately. Sigh.

Ion line art. If anyone wants to color it, just tell me and I'll give you larger line art! Please, color it! PLEASE. I've been trying to color it for ages and I can't. It just won't turn out right and I'm getting frustrated with it.

I've been trying lately, in addition to trying to improve my grasp of anatomy, to make my style less... anime-influenced. I'm probably too close to my art to accurately judge if I'm getting away from anime or not, but at the very least I'm drawing something resembling noses lately and that's something, I guess.

I was working from this AWESOME TUTORIAL and while my version isn't that great (I had to use PSP7 instead of PS, which made some things difficult and others impossible) the tutorial is AWESOME and I am just in awe of this guy's art. Also his planet tutorial is great too, but my version of that one turned out... not good.

My last picture is a bunch of random pixel stuff. I'm really proud of it, because I am not good at backgrounds (the list of things I'm not good at consists of everything which is not faces and frankly not many of those) and I have some fairly nice ones here. So go and see the huge version HERE.
