Duke's hair is so pretty. I spent all three of the battles thinking how much I wanted to play with it.
Duke is just adorable anyway. I'm really happy he didn't die at the end. The ending animation of him and the fuzzy woodland creatures? SO CUTE.
The final battles were really easy (even the Fell Arms one), so that was a little disappointing. But I guess that's what happens when you've messed around so much that you're 15 levels above the final boss and have the best non-Fell Arms weapons for all your characters (except Judith =__=). I'll probably redo it another 5 times to see what the other characters have to say during the battle break - I was playing as Rita (I went straight from grade farming to the battle without remembering to change anything, which made things a little worrying for a bit when I forgot to take off the Demon Seal, Dark Seal, and Risky Ring). And there's the extra dungeon - hopefully that's a little more challenging, though I somehow doubt it will be. (It does contain a cameo battle with one of my favorite Tales characters, so I'm looking forward to that at least!)
I badly want more art of the Schwann Brigade. I doubt there'll be much, since 3/4 members are... not good-looking. And I doubt I could do it myself. Sigh. And I want Duke art. Why is there not more Duke art? He has such pretty hair!
More art in general would be nice.
In the final conclusion! Abyss > Vesperia > Symphonia. The plot's a bit more nonsensical than the other Tales games, but the characters are better than Symphonia so that pushes it above it. Abyss had probably the best plot + characters. There was no character I loved as much as Jade or Ion, so Vesperia goes beneath Abyss. Combat is fun, but I don't like the way they made Mystic Artes pretty much useless.
But on the other hand, it had equippable bunny ears and mustaches + pipes, so that jumps it up a few dozen points.
