Photobucket dropped their account size limit from 1GB to 500MB. Now where am I going to store all my animated gifs of Mr. T punching a shark?

Actually, going through my account to try to delete the 33MB I need to be able to upload new stuff is really difficult. What will I do without all these hilarious things? I mean, sometimes I'll just open up this and smile for a few seconds before closing it out of boredom.

I guess I could cull some of my collection of Star Trek gifs, but... most of them make me laugh too.

I suppose while I'm still thinking about Star Trek I might as well finish up my Season 1 various thoughts.

21. "The Return of the Archons"

Anything that allows the Star Trek crew to dress up in period gear is a-okay by me! I have a few gifs of them running around in it, but with Photobucket not letting me upload things... >:(

The story itself is just all right. Kirk defeats a computer that's controlling a civilization! They ignore the Prime Directive because the culture is stagnant! Woo.

22. "Space Seed"

You know, this episode isn't bad. But it's not the best episode ever, either. I did end up watching Wrath of Khan, and it was... well, the effect was slightly diminished by me watching The Search for Spock first, but it was actually a really good movie. (Although I liked The Voyage Home better than both of them.)

This episode had a lot of women issues. Actually, only Turnabout Intruder bothered me as much as this one did. The historian falling for Khan was... kind of horrible, actually!

23. "A Taste of Armageddon"

This episode was... ridiculous. Why would any planet kill off their population on what essentially amounts to the honor system?

I mean, what was the war about, anyway? Was it a war over resources? Then this meant nothing, because there was no chance to gain the resources. Was it a war over religion? Well, there's still too many people who don't believe what they believe for this to be appropriate for that. A war of ideals? Maybe, but wouldn't that have the same problem as religion, namely, that there would be too many people who didn't agree. This is ridiculous, I hate this episode.

24. "This Side of Paradise"

The crew of the Enterprise goes to a planet that includes flowers that make everyone super-healthy and happy. Everyone is infected.

This one is kind of fun, because the Kirk taunting Spock part is similar to the Kirk taunting Spock part in the new movie. Although this one kind of... hurts more, because you know that Kirk and Spock are good friends in this universe, and because this is one of the few episodes where you see Spock actually seeming happy.

Other than that, uh... I like the way that Bones is still angry, even in peaceful flower mode.

25. "The Devil in the Dark"

A mining colony is under attack by an unknown invader. The crew of the Enterprise... well, they sort of help, I guess. They help the invader, anyway. And the miners... well, they'll get used to it. Probably. Actually, looking at it, it's a pretty crummy deal. The miners get help mining! The Horta... the Horta get to live and work for the miners! Yay, happy ending for everyone!

I like this episode because the Horta is just so different than most of the other sentient beings they encounter. I mean, it's not exactly well done, but it's more effort than they usually put into their aliens.

This was one of the episodes I watched over and over again as a kid. The scene with the guy screaming as the camera came towards him scared me a little back then, heh.

26. "Errand of Mercy"

Organians: Hey, don't fight.
Klingons and Federation: *try to fight*
Organians: Hey. Hey, stop that.
Klingons and Federation: *try to fight*
Organians: You really shouldn't fight. Please.
Klingons and Federation: *try to fight*
Organians: DAMMIT, STOP THAT RIGHT NOW, ALL OF YOU, AND BY THAT I MEAN ALL OF YOU.
Klingons and Federation: Why didn't you tell us you were God-like beings in the first place?

27. "The Alternative Factor"

I watched the first five minutes of this and my browser locked up. I took that as a sign this isn't a good episode. I'll try watching it later. After I finish the final season of Babylon 5. Speaking of Babylon 5, I think that series has ruined most TV sci-fi series for me. It was so good! I watch TOS Star Trek for a different reason, so it doesn't bother my viewing of it.

EDIT: Went and watched it. Hahaha, this episode really did suck. The plot was nonsensical, the science was... completely unbelievable (and I'm usually find with TOS science), even for Star Trek, the guest star wasn't interesting and there was very little banter between the main crew.

28. "The City on the Edge of Forever"

I... was not as in love with this episode as everyone else seems to be! Maybe I am just burnt out on time travel stories (have I mentioned I hate time travel stories?). I mean, there's only so many ways you can kill Hitler, and while this was one of the more interesting ones, it just didn't really affect me.

29. "Operation: Annihilate!"

Flying plastic pancakes!

My family still uses this episode for making fun of other sci-fi. "Don't worry, _____ will be all right! He's an alien, he has a second pair of _____!"

Oh, and by the way, in case you were wondering about the phaser vs. tricorder thing? I ended up ordering a phaser and a communicator, but the communicator arrived broken, so the company I ordered from sent a replacement communicator along with another phaser. So now I have two phasers and a communicator! Let me tell you, dual wielding phasers is actually pretty awesome.
