Jan. 27th, 2008 10:53 pmApparently, if you're browsing in Windows, you can use wildcards to find files. Like, if you're trying to find all the Word document files in a folder, you can try to open *.doc, and it'll show all the files ending in .doc. It also works for finding files with words in it... if you're sure you named a file with some word you can search for *word*. I... feel really stupid for never discovering this before. I knew it worked in Linux, but I never tried it in Windows.
Also, you can use .. to go up a level. Or you can get fancy and do stuff like ..\My Pictures to hop through the directories.
